CannedRocket designs its applications and website to minimize data collection. We do not sell personal information, run advertising profiles or use cross-site tracking. Information you deliberately send for support is used to answer the request and maintain the security and reliability of our products.
Summary
- No CannedRocket account is required for SatellitePlus, SatellitePlus Pro, Solar Journey, Deep Atlas, Ukiyo-e or RadioFin.
- We do not operate advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics in these applications.
- Searches, favorites and in-app interactions are not sent to CannedRocket as personal profiles.
- Apple processes App Store downloads and purchases under Apple's own policies.
- Cloudflare processes basic network information to deliver and protect this website.
Website delivery
CannedRocket does not place advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Our hosting and security provider may process IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information and security signals needed to deliver content, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. We do not use that information to build a cross-site advertising profile.
Applications
SatellitePlus and SatellitePlus Pro
Neither edition requires an app account. Both download public orbital catalog and ephemeris records from the same Apple CloudKit public database. Searches, followed satellites, observer settings, reminders and saved Watch trajectories are kept in the edition's local app storage or its own App Group; the two editions do not share these local user records. The iPhone and its companion Watch exchange followed targets and saved trajectories when you use the Watch features. Location access is optional for pass predictions, and local notification access is requested only when you enable a reminder.
Saved observation sites stay local to the selected edition. Place search and the interactive map use Apple Maps services. Apple may receive search queries, the displayed map region and coordinates selected for place details. You can also enter coordinates manually. Within the location editor, the GPS button requests a device location fix; opening the editor does not make a new GPS request. For an optional WeatherKit cloud forecast, the selected observation coordinates are sent to Apple Weather only when you request a forecast. Apple processes these requests under its privacy policy. Camera images and motion readings used for the optional sky guide are processed on your device; camera images are not saved or uploaded by this feature. Radio-reference downloads use SatNOGS and do not send your observation coordinates. Calendar and sharing export a plan only when you choose; precise coordinates are omitted unless you enable them.
The free SatellitePlus edition offers an optional one-time Pro Console in-app purchase. Some earlier versions also offered Signal Credits; their availability is being retired, while previously purchased credits remain usable. To retain those historical balances across the free edition's devices, the app keeps a credit ledger on device and in that user's private CloudKit database. This private ledger is not used by SatellitePlus Pro. The separately paid Pro app includes full access from the start and has no in-app purchases. Apple handles App Store payments; CannedRocket does not receive payment-card details.
Solar Journey (formerly Sol Atlas)
Solar Journey does not require an account and does not send route searches, saved state or camera interaction to CannedRocket for advertising or analytics. The app may download public scientific content and optional data packs. StoreKit handles purchase transactions; CannedRocket receives entitlement status rather than your payment credentials.
Deep Atlas
Deep Atlas does not require an account and does not send selected destinations, route locks, archive seals or camera interaction to CannedRocket for advertising or analytics. Route archive progress is stored on device. StoreKit handles purchase transactions; CannedRocket receives entitlement status rather than your payment credentials.
Ukiyo-e
Ukiyo-e does not require an account and does not collect search history, favorites, interaction history or identifiers for analytics. It downloads public catalogue content through CloudKit and uses StoreKit for purchases. Rights or record submissions made through ukiyo-e.uk are governed by that site's published forms and terms.
RadioFin
RadioFin receives radio signals from a receiver you choose or an I/Q recording you open. USB radio hardware connects to the Mac; iPhone receives through a network receiver, a paired Mac receiver server or a file. Radio samples, decoded audio and signal displays are processed on your device or the receiver server you select, rather than automatically uploaded to CannedRocket.
Receiver discovery uses the local network and may announce a server name and connection information. Pairing is an explicit action. Paired receiver transport is authenticated and encrypted; direct rtl_tcp reception does not have the same pairing or encryption protection. If you enable Mac receiver sharing, connected clients receive radio data and can send receiver controls.
Camera access is used when you choose to scan a pairing QR code. This preview is not recorded or uploaded by RadioFin. You can use manual pairing instead. Preferences are stored locally; paired receiver credentials are kept in this device's Keychain with cloud synchronization disabled. Use the client forget action and server revocation controls to remove access.
Recording begins only when you choose it. Recordings and exports remain in app storage or the location you select; delete them at that location. Destinations you choose through system sharing follow their own policies. On iPhone, the current station or frequency, mode and app artwork are provided to the system playback interface for the Lock Screen and Control Center.
RadioFin does not require an app account or automatically submit radio data or diagnostics to CannedRocket. Diagnostic information may contain receiver names, addresses and performance details. Review it before sharing and do not send pairing tokens, private keys or reusable invitations. Support correspondence follows the information-you-send policy below.
Archiver Pro
English
Archiver Pro is a paid download with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, app account, advertising or analytics. Archive processing and previews take place on your device; the app does not upload your archives, file contents or archive passwords to CannedRocket. Apple handles the paid app download under its own policies.
The app accesses files you open or import, folders you grant through the system Files picker, and photos or videos you select. Music access requires permission and export is limited to available, unprotected songs supported by the system. Files, archives, previews, preferences and folder-access bookmarks are kept in app or user-chosen storage.
After an archive password is successfully verified, the app automatically remembers it for that archive in this device's Keychain using a ThisDeviceOnly protection class. Passwords are not stored in ordinary app preferences or sent to CannedRocket. Keychain records are separate from archive files; deleting an archive or removing the app is not a guaranteed way to erase those records. There is no password-recovery service.
Via Browser is an optional upload-only receiver on your local Wi-Fi. You enable it and share its local address and pairing code with your computer. It requires Local Network permission and stops when you leave the screen or the app enters the background. It does not provide browser access to browse or download files, or send received files to a hosted CannedRocket server.
Providers selected through Files and destinations chosen through system sharing may transfer data using their own services and policies. Delete files in the app or Files at their storage location. Removing the app removes its app-container data but does not delete originals or copies in another provider's storage. If you email support, the separate support-correspondence policy below applies; do not include passwords or private archives.

Information you send
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to provide. We use them to respond, investigate the reported issue, document a correction or meet a legal obligation. Do not send passwords, payment credentials or unrelated sensitive information.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request, product reliability, security, dispute resolution or applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion of information you supplied, subject to records we are legally required to retain.

We may update this policy when products, providers or legal requirements change. The effective version is the one published at this URL, with its revision date. Material changes will be described clearly rather than applied retroactively to unrelated uses.
